This past Saturday, We Are J’Ouvert returned to Marcy Plaza for Men’s Street Appreciation: A Day for Our Kings, hosted by the Bed-Stuy Gateway BID. Despite the steady rain, the plaza stayed alive with music, connection, and quiet celebration.
We set up our free photo booth to honor the fathers, uncles, brothers, mentors, and leaders who bring presence and power to our communities. We’re grateful to the BID for making space for joy, and to those who stopped by the booth despite the weather. Your presence meant everything.
